On Sunday, March 25th, 2012, Skyline showed how much they care about families and children in their community by presenting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph with a donation of $5,000 raised through the on-line auction of Guelph Storm warm-up jerseys sponsored by Skyline.

In a joint effort to give back to the community, the Guelph Storm and Skyline have partnered together on several occasions throughout the season. All proceeds from the jersey auction go directly to developing and maintaining quality mentoring programs that help local children succeed. The mentoring programs, offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph, help to build confidence and self-esteem in children and youth.

Skyline’s ongoing support has made a great impact on the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and in our community. This joint initiative is taking place for a third year, and over thirty (30) of the BBBSG children and volunteers are being hosted by Skyline to attend Sunday afternoon’s first home playoff game. Earlier this season, Skyline also hosted an annual event for the kids and volunteers of BBBSG at a Guelph Storm home game. Nearly 100 special guests from the charity attended a game and were treated to pizza, face painting and a wonderful afternoon of hockey and fun.
